Please join me for First Thursday in Pioneer Square for the opening reception of my show and the grand opening of Atelier Drome's new office. Come sip on some wine while viewing my work and getting to know Atelier Drome. I'm thrilled to have my work up in conjunction with the opening of this brilliant architecture firm's office, across the street from the TK Building.

I will have large scale and little landscape paintings on display, as well as a wire installation. All work will be available to purchase through me. I will launch a online shop to purchase work after the opening reception.

Vestige SS17 Launch

AT

I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Vestige Story for their SS17 collection launch this spring. Join us for the Capitol Hill Art Walk at  to celebrate the launch. I'll be painting on site from 7-8pm.

FROM VESTIGE STORY

In collaboration with artist Mya Kerner and Glasswing shop, we are pleased to present The Range — an evening of art and conversations to celebrate the launch of Vestige’s new collection. This event offers a rare opportunity to view Mya’s working process with a live painting performance at the Melrose Ave boutique. Together, the presentation of her landscape paintings, Vestige’s SS17 Landscaef Collection and Glasswing’s creative vision will reveal how art can connect individuals and converge the craft of different industries.

ABOUT VESTIGE

Vestige Story aims to promote mindfulness through the stories and messages we create each collection. Our designs are inspired by stories of real women, and the lessons we learn from their experiences. We design for a community of like-minded creatives who have a purposeful mindset in life.

ABOUT GLASSWING

Glasswing Shop is a Vestige retailer — a beautiful clothing and home-goods shop founded by three artistic creatives. Located on Melrose Ave, they created a retail space that reflects Seattle’s vibrant and diverse marketplace. Their space is welcoming and open, providing an engaging environment to introduce new products and to support the designers creating them.

Makers for Standing Rock

Through this fundraiser, we hope to utilize this growing network by providing an outlet for creatives to stand with Standing Rock. Although many of us cannot make the journey to literally stand with the water protectors, we are here to support the Native American people and honor our treaties. “Makers for Standing Rock” gives us the chance to draw upon our skills by making tangible contributions to the families of Standing Rock while using our online presence to inform our greater communities. We stand with Standing Rock, Native American Indians, and Mother Earth.

Zak will not be able to attend, and I will be arriving late due to a scheduling conflict, but feel free to any of the residents for more information.

Spring Show at Plank&Grain

myakerner.jpg

This Spring my paintings will be featured at Plank&Grain in Seattle, WA. I am looking forward to seeing my work in conjunction with their beautiful, reclaimed furniture. Join us on the First Thursdays from April to June in the International District.

About Plank&Grain:

"WE MAKE FURNITURE WITH CHARACTER That's why we only use reclaimed lumber from around the Pacific Northwest. We know the term "reclaimed" gets thrown around a lot these days and that some companies go to great lengths to "distress" their new wood to look old. That's not the case at Plank&Grain.  We use predominately old-growth douglas fir planks (most over a hundred years old). We think the character of this wood needs very little improvement. We sand and finish each piece by hand, which lets the imperfections and scars of the lumber's long history shine. All of our furniture is made by hand right here in Seattle and no two pieces are alike." -http://www.plankandgrain.com/about/
