Reinhabiting the Body: Postnatal Yin Yoga
About the Class
Following pregnancy, the body holds the echoes of transformation. Yin yoga supports postpartum recovery by stimulating the connective tissues, helping them rehydrate and regain integrity. This class invites you to gently remember how to take up space in your body.
The foundational principles of Yin are edge, stillness, and time. Edge is the place where sensation arises — not too much, not too little. It is where we meet ourselves honestly, without force. As we settle into stillness, the muscles release, the nervous system quiets, and awareness unfolds. We linger here for a time, allowing the subtle body to reveal what is ready to be integrated and/or released.
Through long-held, floor-based postures, breath awareness, and guided visualization, this practice offers a compassionate space to return to yourself. It is an invitation to refill your vessel, ground your energy, trust yourself, and know your body as wholly your own.
No prior yoga experience is necessary. You are welcome just as you are.
